Strategic Brief
Secure Applied AI for OT, ICS, and Critical Infrastructure
A cautious operating doctrine for AI in environments where consequences are physical, regulated, or mission-critical.
Abstract
Critical environments demand a different philosophy of applied AI. The relevant question is not how much autonomy is possible. It is how much autonomy is defensible.
Brief Thesis
In OT, ICS, and critical infrastructure, the design center should be constrained assistance: passive-first, reversible-first, and human-accountable. Useful systems can summarize alarms, correlate procedures, prioritize inspections, and assemble evidence without pretending that full autonomy is responsible by default.
